Ammonoids
Information
Ammonoids lived as nektonic predators in marine environments. Their diversity, and the widespread nature of fossils, has led to them being used as biostratigraphic markers, especially during the Jurassic and Cretaceous.
Taxonomy
- Phylum: Mollusca
- Class: Cephalopoda
- Subclass: Ammonoidea
